Location: Toronto, ON
Pay Rate: $18.97/hour
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Overtime Method: ESA (Overtime after 44 hours/week)
Employment Type: Full-Time Afternoons

Overview

Paladin Security is looking for a professional and customer-focused Security Guard to join our team at CF Shops at Don Mills.
As Toronto’s first open-air lifestyle shopping destination, CF Shops at Don Mills blends retail, dining, and entertainment in a vibrant, community-oriented environment. This role is ideal for a dependable and observant individual who takes pride in providing exceptional customer service while maintaining public safety.

Responsibilities

• Patrol property grounds and enforce all safety and security policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Provide First Aid, CPR, or AED assistance when required.
• Write detailed incident and shift reports using CF’s reporting system.
• Assist tenants, visitors, and customers with directions and general inquiries.
• Conduct Fire and Life Safety inspections and maintain compliance standards.
• Enforce the Trespass to Property Act lawfully and respectfully.
• Collaborate with management and local authorities when handling incidents.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public and law enforcement.
• Support property management with incident documentation and follow-up reports.

Requirements

Must Have Criteria

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR (WSIB-approved) certification
• Valid G2 or G Class Driver’s License (required for patrol duties)
• Two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations
• Proficient in English (oral and written)
• Minimum 1 year of security experience

Nice to Have (Optional)

• Ability to commute to Toronto for pre-deployment training (4 days, Monday–Friday)
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants without these may enroll in Paladin’s training program prior to onboarding.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
