Fresh Department Manager – Your Independent Grocer (Canada)

As a Fresh Department Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to deliver freshness, quality, and friendly service every day. You’ll ensure our displays are vibrant, our products meet the highest standards, and our team works together to create an enjoyable shopping experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Fresh Department Manager, you’ll lead daily operations across a selected fresh department. You’ll inspire and support your team to deliver exceptional service, maintain quality, and meet department goals. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will keep stock levels balanced, minimize waste, and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
Supervise and coach staff to maintain high productivity and morale.
Oversee stock rotation, inventory, and ordering to ensure product freshness.
Uphold all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Design appealing product displays and merchandising layouts to boost sales.
Analyze sales trends and collaborate with management to achieve targets.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Success in this role requires leadership, clear communication, and a passion for fresh, high-quality food. You’ll bring experience in grocery retail or food service, and a solid understanding of safety standards. Your ability to manage both people and product flow will make you a key part of our success.
Strong leadership and motivational skills.
