We are currently seeking a Senior Project Talent Acquisition Partner to join J.D. Irving’s Construction and Equipment Division to support a project on a rotational basis in Central New Brunswick. This role will translate project schedules into phased hiring plans and deliver the workforce needed to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets while ensuring an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with project leadership and HR Manager to build phase-based hiring plans aligned to timeline milestones.
- Own full-cycle recruitment for hourly roles
- Collaborate with Communications Specialist to design and execute sourcing campaigns across job boards, social/digital media, and local market outreach, including career fairs
- Ensure post-offer testing is completed in a timely manner and integrated into workflows
- Track and report recruitment metrics and implement continuous improvement practices
- Collaborate with HR Coordinator to ensure new hires are onboarded efficiently and in alignment with project timelines
- Serve as the “eyes and ears” on the ground for workforce-related matters. Collaborate closely with the HR Manager to gather information and respond accurately to employee inquiries, or direct employees to appropriate resources as needed
- Collaborate with safety and HR team to deliver weekly orientation sessions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle high-volume recruitment; experience with high-volume projects and large capital programs preferred
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment analytics, ensuring effective tracking and reporting of recruitment metrics and continuous improvement practices; experience with Oracle considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage weekly recruitment meetings and deliver pipeline reports, with a proven track record of recruiting technical roles in schedule-driven environments
- Expertise in designing and executing sourcing campaigns across various platforms, supported by strong sourcing strategy skills and hands-on campaign execution experience
- Understanding of Canadian employment standards and Atlantic labor markets, ensuring compliance and site-readiness throughout pre-employment screening and onboarding processes
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record of building successful business partnerships
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed
