JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Business Strategy Manager is a pivotal role that blends strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership and execution excellence.
The role works closely together with Business Unit (BUs) leaders (e.g. Sourcing, Distribution, Fintech, Mobility & Experiences, HotelTech-Roiback) and Sales & Sourcing Centers of Excellence to (i) co-design the strategy for the areas and (ii) define and launch the main initiatives that will support growth (internally and leveraging partners).
The role also leads the design and execution of specific strategic projects leveraging TO Control and Project Excellence project management capabilities.
The Business Strategy Manager coordinates the performance and status reporting of specific business strategy workstreams and strategic projects to be presented in the Transformation Office and other relevant leadership forums including the Executive Committee and Advisory Committee.
The Business Strategy Manager also identifies market trends alongside the Corporate Strategy team and assesses their impact on BU strategy & HBX positioning to ensure a strong and competitive value proposition within each of the BU.
The role is responsible for leading financial, risk and opportunity quantification analysis - elevating key outcomes to the Functional Lead.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Design BU strategies with HBX’s overall strategic priorities and ensuring consistency and quality.
Conceptual Problem Solving: Structuring and solving complex ambiguous challenges such as commercial, partnership & Target Operating Models
Analytical Problem Solving: Applying structured, data-driven approaches to break down complex business challenges, identify root causes, and quantify impact—supporting strategic decisions with robust financial, operational, and market analysis
Cross-functional Coordination: Working with functional leads to manage dependencies and drive execution.
Stakeholder Engagement: Influencing senior stakeholders and navigating ambiguity to deliver high-impact outcomes.
Change Management: Challenging historical approaches and driving transformation in a dynamic environment.
Skills:
Solid analytical & conceptual problem solving, creative thinking and communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong presentation skills to synthesize complex topics into actionable insights (for senior stakeholders)
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation (to drive strategic decisions)
Entrepreneurial spirit to bring innovative ideas about business strategy innovation

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels (ability to synthesize complex topics into actionable insights for senior stakeholders)

Coaching skills and ability to delegate, train, lead and motivate team members
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience managing business strategy and strategic projects at a global organization or in a Strategy Consulting firm
Proven experience in business strategy frameworks and methodologies
Experience managing and developing people in a multicultural and global organization
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related
Master’s degree or MBA highly preferable
