Technology & Business Process is central department at TTI EMEA, and we drive changes across EMEA by:
- Working with business process owners (BPOs) across all parts of EMEA to:
- develop and design policies, processes, systems and controls
- lead the implementation of new processes, policies, systems and controls
- identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
- Working with IT and business process owners (BPOs) to ensure such projects are delivered on time, within budget and with the best quality outcomes
- Leading or supporting strategic business projects as project managers and/or business analysts
- Advising the organisation how to drive process and controls optimisation
The scope of work covers a broad range of business areas, from financial, technological, compliance to operations. We work with a wide group of stakeholders from Business Process Owners in EHQ, senior leaders in local markets, and stakeholders at the Group level.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As part of the Technology & Business Process team, you will act as the project manager leading cross functional, often strategic projects across EMEA. You will manage internal & external project team members across all parts of TTI EMEA – technical teams, business analysts, key users and business stakeholders.
In addition, you will be responsible for our SAP upgrade alongside a senior technology leader – a critical project to leverage SAP enhanced features
There will also be opportunities to work alongside the Technology & Business Process Project lead to enhance the department’s capability as a Project Management Office (PMO) in EMEA, helping to establish project management capability across the organisation & improve our ability to manage project portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will work as a ‘hands-on’ Project Manager in a variety of business projects and initiatives across EMEA.
Specifically, your role will involve:
- Project managing SAP Upgrades.
- Strategic Planning: Create comprehensive project roadmaps that align with business goals.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure projects remain on track.
- Budgeting & Financial Acumen: Ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints while maximizing ROI.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and informed decision-making.
- Agile Methodologies: Adapt to evolving project needs and deliver iterative improvements quickly.
- Additionally, strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and problem-solving skills are essential for managing complex SAP projects.
- Project managing cross-functional / strategic projects in EMEA:
- Supporting BPOs and other senior executives in the initiation of project ideas & project briefs, understanding the strategic drivers of a project & supporting the feasibility review of a project concept;
- Planning a project, this includes setting goals & objectives, defining roles & responsibilities of project team members and producing schedules & timelines for the project;
- Managing a project, coordinating the project teams (internal & external) and ensuring the project is kept on track and on budget;
- Identify and evaluate project issues and risks and escalate to project sponsors and/or steerco in a timely manner;
- Regular status reporting to the project teams, the project sponsor and/or the steering committee;
- Facilitating project workshops & meetings;
- Ensuring a proper handover of project to operations and closing the project; and
- Ensuring maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, e.g. Project brief, project plan, progress reports, issue & action tracker and cut over plans; and
- Ensuring the EMEA Project Management guidelines are followed.
- Promoting good project management practice & enhance the organisation’s project management capability across the EMEA organisation:
- Developing project management guideline & templates for the EMEA organisation
- Developing & carrying out regular project management training
- Providing ad hoc advice to stakeholders and support them to plan their local projects
- Ensuring these stakeholders understand the EMEA project management guidance and methodologies
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 5 or more years of proven experience as a project manager for IT systems and in project management in business application and/ or business process implementation; 5 or more years of project experience overall.
- Experience in both waterfall & agile methodologies
- Solid technical background, with detailed understanding and hands-on experience in SAP Upgrade, software development and web technologies
- Solid knowledge in project management tools a must, and experience in such tools in the Microsoft 365 suite (e.g. Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Azure DevOps) an advantage
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) clearly and effectively with both IT and business stakeholders, with proven experience in acting as the “bridge” between the two parties
- Ability to develop strong relationships to liaise effectively with stakeholders and project members
- Experience as business analyst prior to becoming a project manager a bonus
- Project certification a bonus (e.g. Prince2 or PMP)
- Experience and knowledge in implementation of enterprise applications such as SAP, Workday, Salesforce or Microsoft 365 product suite a bonus
- Background in audit or internal controls function a bonus
