In this role, you will:  

  • Play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity, sustainability, and compliance of the organization's operations, programs, and projects. 

  • Provides financial guidance and support to the HS senior management teams, and other stakeholders to drive financial accountability, optimize resource utilization, and facilitate informed decision-making. 

  • Develops a team of managers and employees and works with internal and external counterparts to respond to current and emerging needs, drive service excellence, and mitigate risks. 

  • Be accountable for their unit's performance and governance, including workforce, budget, quality, risk and controls, adherence to policies and standards, and fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.

 

What we are looking for:  

  • Responsible for the design and delivery of the HS Domestic Operations financial strategy ensuring quality, efficiency and resource management.

  • Provide strategic financial planning and forecasting to support organizational decision-making, resource allocation, and risk management.

  • Develop a strategy and action plan to optimize the effectiveness of finance processes through the efficient use of systems; manage on an on-going basis continual process improvements to minimize process waste while maximizing the value delivered to clients.

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.

  • Provide guidance and support to program teams in developing program budgets, financial reporting, and donor compliance requirements.
