A Day in the Life
Take on a pivotal role as a HR Director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and The Netherlands and make your mark across our diabetes business teams. As a key HR Business Partner, you'll play a crucial part in enhancing employee experiences while accelerating business success. In this dynamic, results-oriented position, you will collaborate with business leaders and the holistic HR function to lead transformative programs in talent acquisition, cultural evolution, Inclusion, performance and talent management, employee relations, total rewards, and organizational effectiveness.
Reporting to a Vice President HR, you'll deliver strategic HR partnership and practical support to our commercial structure across a wide region of DACH.
You will be based in the Duesseldorf area, Germany and will manage a sub-regional remote team, along with directly covering employee population and supporting senior business leaders in your region.

Our HR team will play a pivotal role in the journey to become a standalone company.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Organization, Talent, and Culture Planning: Collaborate with Busines Leaders across the region to provide high-impact HR solutions. Support critical HR processes, including workforce planning, compensation reviews, performance management partnership with the HR COEs. Communicate and implement proactive strategies pertaining to employee retention and engagement, succession planning in support of strategic objectives. Work with leaders to foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture
- Change Management/Organization Effectiveness: Support organizational change initiatives and provide guidance on change management process.
- Talent and Leadership Development: Partners with Global Talent Development on strategies to develop and enhance business and technical capabilities for the employee population to include knowledge enhancement, career and leadership development.
- Talent Acquisition: Support Leaders and the Talent Acquisition COE to identify and staff critical roles, build organization capabilities, and bench strength.
- Employee Relations & Communications: Partner with the Employee Relations COE and leaders to anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Inclusion, Diversity, Equity: Champion ID&E efforts to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce. Partner with HR and leadership to develop and implement ID&E initiatives
- HR Data Analytics: Detect organizational trends and alert HR partners to enable appropriate actions. Use HR data to measure progress and provide insights for data-driven decision-making. Provide regular updates to stakeholders to communicate program progress and outcomes.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive HR experience, Masters degree is an advantage
- Minimum 5 yeas of experience managing remote teams
- Minimum 5 years experience in multinational matrixed environment
- Independent driver, consistently delivering results that support business performance
- Proven positive track record of working with business leaders
- Ability to analyze complex data and drive fact-based decision making
- Strong coaching, sonsulting and influencing skills
- Understanding of Labor and Industrial relations, proven track record of working in co-determination and WC environment
Nice to Have - Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or related business degree
- Successful track record of implementing HR programs in a fast-paced global business.
- Experience in Medical device, Technology, Healthcare, or Consumer Product industry a plus. Experience working with Commercial and R&D teams a plus.
- Strong understanding of talent management, development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness best practices.
- Collaborative - Reaches across boundaries internally and externally to develop and extensive network of partnerships. Experience in a global, matrix management structure, and working with a virtual workforce. Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders.
- Flexible - Demonstrated career flexibility and adaptation
- Proficiency in HRIS software (Workday)
