Responsibilities:

  • Technical and disciplinary management of the system development team and the System Project Managers for Smart Leveling Systems (SLS)

  • Establishment of development processes and the required development framework as well as definition of roles and tasks

  • Support of the product development process for customer projects from concept to series production in compliance with costs and timing targets

  • Responsible for development and implementation of the System Quality Plan and in ensuring compliance with quality targets as well as quality norms

  • Technical management of the team in creation of technical requirement specification for mechatronic system components, the control unit hardware (ECU-HW) , basic software (ECU-BSW) and in the management of suppliers for purchased parts and/or external development support

  • Technical acquisition of SLS projects and support of sales in preparation of quotations (development cost planning)

  • Support purchasing with procurement of purchased system components of SLS Systems

  • HC and resource planning for internal and external employees

  • Investment and cost center planning

  • Strategic further development of products and processes and support in the development of new markets

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in vehicle engineering, mechatronics, control engineering, or similar
  • Several years of experience in system and software development for controlled chassis systems
  • Leadership experience with interdisciplinary, intercultural, and remote teams

  • Comprehensive understanding of electronically controlled chassis systems, preferably systems for level control/adjustment of vehicle height

  • Methodological knowledge of project and development processes in the automotive industry (A-SPICE, ISO26262, ISO/SAE 21434)

  • Fluent German and English language skills
