Job Summary:
The Project Manager, the Cutover Lead will be responsible for ensuring both the quality of the solution and the success of its deployment. The role requires the flexibility to pivot between deep functional analysis and high-stakes logistical planning, often within the same week. Initially, your focus will be on business analysis supporting our testing and readiness phases. As we approach our go-live milestones, your responsibilities will transition to primarily leading the detailed planning and execution of all cutover activities

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages the detailed cutover plan that clearly details all technical and business activities for a successful implementation and go-live.
- Coordinates Readiness by leading technical testing, coordinating final data migration cycles, and overseeing the business readiness checklists to ensure all teams are prepared for the transition.
- Acts as the central point of contact for status updates, issue triage, and ensuring decisive communication across all stakeholder groups
- Defines, manages, and executes Workday cutover plans for go-live, including all activities, resources, and timelines, and coordinates with the project team to ensure alignment.
- Defines, manage and executes the post-go-live hyper care support model, ensuring a smooth and stable transition for all end-users.
- Analyzes and Validates complex business processes to confirm readiness for go-live, ensuring that test scenarios cover critical requirements and identifying gaps in business readiness.
- Elicits and documents detailed requirements for cutover, including data validation, security role assignments, and business process handoffs.
- Liaises with functional stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and ensure a shared understanding of the solution and the cutover plan.
- Works closely with project delivery, operational, technical and organizational change management team members and other stakeholders in implementing integrated business process improvements, documenting agreements, and discussions. Position is privileged to highly sensitive information relating to business or technological changes.
- Provides ongoing support to ERP Business Analyst functions during non-cutover periods, including requirements gathering, workflow analysis, documentation, testing support, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications Required:
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in computing science, engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience, with a proven track record on at least two large-scale ERP implementation projects from testing through to go-live.
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience in cutover planning and execution in major system implementation
- Experience in implementing Student modules on an ERP implementation project is strongly preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Considerable knowledge of project management, quality assurance and change management disciplines.
- Experience on an ERP implementation and deployment project is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading diverse groups to achieve an appropriate outcome.
- Knowledge of data analysis and data modeling (conceptual, logical).
- Solid understanding of key trends and players in the IT industry.
- Higher-education or public sector experience is an asset.
- Proven knowledge and continuous learning of business analysis discipline and best practices, and demonstrated contributions to practice improvement.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, faculty, employees, students, facilities and security staff, vendors, other institutions, external agencies and/or the general public.

- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Compensation beyond the mid-point requires approval by the Public Sector Employers’ Council Secretariat (PSEC).
