Bulk Environmental & Industrial is a fast-growing leading professional transportation and logistics services company providing long-haul transportation, collection, and loading of waste and other materials. 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. They will be performing repairs on tractor trailers and heavy machinery.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform different types of repairs related to welding on tractor-trailers and heavy equipment.
• Able to perform welding labor on aluminum and steel materials.
• Communicate with shop leadership for repair details and parts requests.
• Conduct complete inspections of vehicles at the time any repair is being performed.
• Complete all repairs efficiently and safely.
• Maintain the work area clean and free of debris or objects.
• Follow thoroughly the safety rules and procedures.
• Responsible for wearing proper PPE when performing work duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with aluminum and steel welding.
• Able to perform other minor mechanical repairs to trailers.
• Own his small and basic tools. The company provides heavier tools such as jacks, bars and impact wrenches. 
• Follow thoroughly the safety rules and procedures.
• Must be able to work a changing schedule based on demand.
• Must be able to work on the field when required.

Physical Demands

This position is moderately active and will require the employee to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for specific periods of time. They will engage in bending, stretching, reaching, twisting, carrying, and other motions in the working day. They will be engaged in using office equipment and technician tools and may be engaged in lifting supplies and materials up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.

Working Conditions

This job is located primarily in an outdoor environment with varying noise levels. There may be varying degrees of temperature. The employee may be interrupted from time to time.
