Description
This Press Brake Setup and Operator position is responsible for the setting up and forming of production parts on both manual and CNC controlled press brake machines. This position is a first shift position starting at 5 am; Monday through Friday.
Duties Include but not limited to:
· Sets up, forms, and inspects production parts using CNC controlled press brakes.
· Creates and documents machine set ups and inspection records.
· Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
· Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
· Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
· Work with Short run, Inspection, and Design personnel to ensure quality parts.
· Assists with cleaning, inventory, maintenance, and housekeeping as needed.
· Will assist in unloading cut parts from lasers when time permits.
· Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
· Reads and interprets calipers, micrometers, tesa hite gauge, and blueprints.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Must be able to read and interpret calipers, micrometers, and blueprints.
· Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Ability to exercise sound judgment in adapting setups.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good basic math skills.
· Must have Windows PC experience.
· Ability to maintain database and written records of completed work, and inspection records.
· Ability to communicate and work with people in office, factory, and inspection.
· Must work well independently and in a team environment.
· Must be safety oriented.
· Ability to maintain correct tolerances and quality specifications.
Education and Experience:
· 1-3 years of work experience or equivalent training preferred but will train the right individual.
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
· Laser experience a plus.
· Machining experience or certificate is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
· Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
· Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
· Must wear safety glasses and any other PPE as required by the position.
