Be available to greet visitors to the Business Office and answer phones when needed.

Be proficient with the student system.

Post student payments, student charges, respond to student emails and phone calls, etc. as assigned by the Student Account Manager. During peak seasons, there may be more student related tasks assigned.

Maintain communication with the Student Account Manager to ensure all student’s needs are met, which includes a weekly meeting to go over outstanding items.

Process gift batches and ensure they are accurately and efficiently recorded into the donor system. These gift batches will come from multiple sources such as remote capture deposit for check received directly in the office, ACH and Wire bank deposits, fundraising events, Dallas Seminary Foundation, stock, payroll gifts, etc. During peak seasons, there may be more gifts that require additional time.

Work with Gift Analysis Special as well as Controller/Advancement to ensure the donor system coding is accurate between the donor system and the general ledger

Become proficient in the donor system to be able to research donor information for gift entry and for Advancement team or others that may need additional information.

Work with Advancement and Business Office personnel to ensure the proper accounting rules are followed and donor stipulations are met.

Oversee the estate tracking worksheet, updating information and following up as needed.

High school diploma required.

Associates degree in Accounting or 1-2 years equivalent accounting experience, preferred but not required.

Ability to sit for prolonged time and work on a computer.
