Description

Title: Maintenance Technician

 

Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MSEA Support Services Unit. This position is classified as a Range12 and is budgeted for $20.33 to $21.09 per hour.

 

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for custodial and building maintenance work; cleaning, general plumbing work which includes all bathrooms accessory problem solving and repairs. General carpentry work which includes cabinet and counter installation, framing, dry wall installation, taping, painting, furniture repair, roofing repair, door and window repair, suspended ceiling installation and repair, and all types of related flooring repairs.  Also, includes monthly fire extinguisher and eye wash station inspections and quarterly sprinkler system checks with outside contractor. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Up to, and including one year of experience in general maintenance
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform a variety of manual tasks
