Role Overview 

As an Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our trading activities. You will primarily support our trading teams during the US hours shift, managing critical operational tasks and providing essential oversight of our company's assets. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a leading firm in the cryptocurrency space, with exposure to advanced trading strategies and a diverse range of digital assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collateral & Margin Management: Monitor and manage collateral across multiple venues, execute margin movements, calculate, verify, and reconcile daily P&L, process margin calls for options portfolios, coordinate settlements, and maintain daily reconciliations 
  • Account Operations: Create and configure trading accounts, connect accounts to trading tools and APIs, maintain documentation, and liaise with exchanges and counterparties for setup and maintenance 
  • Asset Oversight: Maintain comprehensive overview of company assets across all venues, perform daily reconciliations, monitor movements, resolve discrepancies, and assist with treasury operations 
  • Client Reporting: Generate timely client reports, trade confirmations for options and spot transactions, and bespoke reporting while ensuring regulatory compliance 
  • Trading Support: Provide operational support to trading teams, process trade instructions, monitor settlements, support options expiry processes, and coordinate with counterparties 

Requirements

  • Excellent educational background with a quantitative degree (e.g. Maths, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field), from a top-tier university 
  • Options Trading Knowledge: Strong understanding of options mechanics, including Greeks, expiry processes, margining requirements, and settlement procedures 
  • Operational Background: Previous experience in trading operations, settlements, or collateral management within financial services (Essential) 
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills; comfortable with trading platforms, APIs, and operational systems 
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in high-pressure environments with multiple concurrent tasks 
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication with internal teams, clients, and external counterparties 
  • Flexibility in Scheduling: Willingness to work an adjusted schedule covering the US shift (equivalent to 1pm-10pm UK hours) and some weekend coverage as required 

Preferred / Desirable Experience 

  • Cryptocurrency Experience: 2+ years working with cryptocurrency markets, exchanges, or digital asset operations  
  • Direct experience with derivatives collateral management and CSA agreements 
  • Knowledge of ISDA documentation, master agreements, and derivatives trade lifecycle 
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and on-chain transaction monitoring 
  • Familiarity with major cryptocurrency exchanges  
  • Understanding of global crypto regulatory frameworks 
  • Previous exposure to OTC trading desks or prime brokerage operations 

Right to work: This role will be based in our Central London office with a hybrid working arrangement. Only candidates who possess the pre-existing right to work in the UK without needing company sponsorship need apply.
