We are currently hiring for a Sheet Metal Foreman in Richmond, VA. The ideal sheet metal foreman has 5+ years sheet metal and experience leading a crew of 5 or more. A sheet metal foreman should possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as extensive knowledge of sheet metal. Pay is $33 - $36 per hour based on experience and skill level.
Sheet Metal Foreman Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all sheet metal fabrication and installation
- Supervisor and direct sheet metal mechanics to ensure adherence to safety protocols, timely completion of work, and maintenance of high-quality standards
- Read, interpret, and ensure compliance with blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Plan and prioritize work to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication and installation processes
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients regarding project progress and issues
- Troubleshoot on-site issues related to sheet metal systems and resolve problems efficiently
- Oversee the measuring, cutting, bending, and forming of metal components to exact specifications
- Supervise the installation of sheet metal components, including fittings, ducts, and other systems.
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project specifications
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents
- Provide guidance and training to team members to improve skills and safety awareness
Sheet Metal Foreman Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience
- Experience supervising a crew of 5+
- Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
- Ability to pass drug and background check
- Your OWN reliable transportation
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
