Registered Nurse – NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Travel Position
Location: Arlington, TX
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Days
Pay: $2,084.40/week (plus $2,450 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,350 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, highly skilled in neonatal intensive care, and capable of delivering specialized care to critically ill newborns in a high-acuity setting. This position requires advanced neonatal clinical judgment, excellent teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert nursing care to preterm and critically ill neonates in a Level III/IV NICU environment.
Monitor vital signs, ventilators, IVs, and other life-support equipment.
Administer medications, fluids, and specialized treatments based on physician orders.
Support and educate families on infant conditions, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR system.
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other NICU staff to ensure safe and effective care.
Maintain infection control practices and patient safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
Current and valid RN license in Texas (or compact eligible)
Minimum of 1–2 years of recent NICU experience in an acute care hospital
Required Certifications: BLS, NRP (additional NICU-specific certifications preferred)
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required
