Your role at Clorox:
The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Lead Associate to the Molding department, are you a hands-on leader passionate about driving operational excellence, safety, and team development? As a Crew Lead, you’ll play a critical role in coordinating daily production activities, ensuring safety compliance, and leading your team to meet performance goals. You’ll be the frontline leader responsible for managing changeovers, troubleshooting issues, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to delivering high-quality results.Starting Hourly rate: $39.47 with a shift differential.
In this role, you will:
Team Leadership & Communication
Lead daily floor meetings to share shift updates, safety alerts, quality issues, and production priorities.
Ensure effective shift exchange and accurate communication of line performance data.
Coordinate Line Activities
Coordinate Safety walk-throughs to eliminate the presence of Slip, Trip or Fall
hazards.
Ensure Workplace Organization is optimized
Ensure members adhere to Safety Training Protocols and Programs
Ensure CILs are assigned, completed and performed at appropriate times
Reinforce purpose is to “Drive out loss”
Ensure team is finding and documenting abnormalities
Ensure operators remain in their zones to prevent unnecessary downtime
Ensure Quality Checks per requirement.
Ensure When up Do and Down do activities assigned.
Coordination of Downtime activities
Ensure operator PMs are complete base on PM Plan (GL7)
Participate in project trials when available GL7
Coordinate Changeover Preparation
Coordinate with Process 2 hours prior to c/o to confirm product.
Coordinate with Palletizer Operator 2 hours prior to c/o to confirm.
Coordinate with Molding 1 hr. prior to c/o, walk to dock and verify correct empty ware is at dock door.
Call Molding 2 hours prior to c/o to confirm.
Coordinate with Shift Coordinator when C/O is complete if going to a Canadian Product
Support use of standard work documentation
Changeover checklist
Track c/o performance
Identify losses if c/o target time is not met
Communicate “why” c/o took longer to Shift Coordinator
Communicate to operator’s c/o time was not met and why- 45 minutes prior to c/o, print out all c/o documents needed (C/o JIB, JA, TS Guides). During c/o, verify non-qualified operators are using standard work documentation.
30 minutes prior to c/o, assign operators unit ops to c/o. Once an operator completes their zone, identify zone where they can help complete c/o
Lead Standard Work Processes
Centerline checks for major unit ops
Call for Assistance – Escalation Plan
Minor Stop Tracking
Ensure LEDs tagging is correct
CIL – Find and Fix abnormalities
Update line board items
Ensure work notifications are entered in the system and tracked
Quality Notifications

Housekeeping
Audits performed
Shiftily follow-up and overall WPO
Initiate RFI Process when needed
Review weekly Crewing and Production schedule with BULs to ensure line is capable
Ensure environmental standards are being upheld
Shift exchange meeting ownership
Line Performance (understand real time data)
Ownership and reporting out in 9am meetings (GL7)
Man, Material, Method and Machine documentation (GL7)
SAP Order confirmation (GL7)
Decision Making
Downtime Mitigation (GL7)
Determine best time to make repair, i.e. during c/o, maintenance day
Has been trained on use of TS Guide and scenario-based problems
Ensure TS guides are used and updated in a timely manner
Train zone operators on the use of TS guides
Coach zone operator
Ensure calls for assistance are made promptly
Understands when to make production recommendations based on quality or
supply inputs that affect production.
Coordinates and tracks Skill Block Training development.
Ensures trainee is attaining specific skill blocks and Group Level Certifications.
Leads Training initiatives for Crewmembers to ensure they are capable of
maintaining zone without assistance.
Participates in performance evaluations with team and trainee.
Ensures Trainee checklist is completed.
Give performance feedback to BUL and underperforming operators.
Trainer ensures trainee is following road map that identifies skill block progression
by week and is meeting adherence to schedule.
Review line training Matrix to identify and minimize gaps. (G7)
Inter-Personal Skill Development
Owning staffing breaks and coverage for crew
Ensure ER issues are brought up to plant leadership
Own Communication of plant activities, targets and events to their team
Managing Conflict, Coaching Others/Providing Feedback, Building Trust,
Communicating and Listening
What we look for:
High School diploma or GED
Resume Required
Ability to properly tag events in LEDs
Prior Leadership experience is highly preferred
Prior Manufacturing Experience required
Skills and knowledge will be determined by means of hands-on demonstration and a formal interview
Be willing to work overtime as needed. Workdays and schedule may change periodically according to business needs
Strong commitment to the plant non-negotiables
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to respond appropriately to salary and hourly personnel
Demonstrate ability to organize work area to 5S standards
Must have or develop a high level of understanding of Progressive Maintenance
Ability to travel as required for training and development Must be capable of working all zone on a production line and/or knowledge of Theory of Operations
Proficient in SAP
Ability to perform routine maintenance
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Tools and process
Internal applicants- a minimum of Group level 4 or prior years of performance leadership, please note: Minimum progression for this role is Group 7. Group 6 that apply for this position will have 12 months from the date they transition to the position to certify/qualify at that level in the Packaging department.
