Who You’ll Work With

The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles. 

About The Role

As Sr. Business Analyst, you are respected for your deep knowledge on Annuity Products and/or Policy Admin platforms (Annuities). You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and evaluates business needs and provides technical direction and recommendations to create or develop new system functionality. 
  • Manage requirements scope and escalate any issues as appropriate. 
  • Partner with business and development to document moderately complex business system requirements. 
  • Research and analyze existing business processes and systems to formulate logical statements of business requirements. 
  • Analyze and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solution for system design. 
  • Participate in system projects. 
  • Work on system projects that have complex functionality. 
  • With assistance, take on projects with a broad scope, involving multiple systems. 
  • Plays an active role in the system development life cycle from design through implementation. 
  • Review technical designs or specifications. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills 
  • Good understanding of creating Business Requirements Documents, Functional Requirements Specs, User Stories and Use Case Diagrams  
  • Knowledge and experience of systems development life cycle (SDLC) with an understanding of Requirements Gathering, Process Workflows and Modelling. 
  • Extensive knowledge of business analysis techniques/ tools 
  • Relationship management skills 
  • Basic knowledge of the business unit’s functions and applications 
  • Knowledge of system and technology alternatives 
  • Experience with waterfall and/or agile methodologies - knowledge of both preferred 
  • High proficiency with SQL and database.  
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports
  • Excellent Communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Knowledge in Annuity will help in providing better solution for complex business problems
  • Prior understanding on Annuity Retirement Product implementation, business rules and insurance regulations that govern the Annuity business including agent licensing, appointment process and compliance reporting will be an advantage
  • Need to have the ability to understand and implement the various calculations provided 
  • To understand the Policy Admin System (Navisys) and product implementation. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred 
  • 3+ years progressive experience analyzing and solving business problems through the development and implementation of business applications preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in IT

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000 at the commencement of employment for the Woodland Hills, CA area.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Woodland Hills, CA or Houston, TX  office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.

Estimated Travel

May include up to 25%.
