Your role:
The Analyst role will sit within the Global Smaller Companies team. The team
manages a range of funds covering small and mid companies in every region. The Analyst will research companies across regions and funds
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth due diligence and draft research reports on stocks for the GSC watchlist, applying our research process across sectors and geographies
Maintain financial models and update research as needed on existing holdings and watchlist companies
Attend conferences and lead company meetings as needed
Conduct sector-based research including value chain analysis, profit pools and competitive dynamics
Clearly communicate investment research consistent with the GSC investment philosophy and process to colleagues, clients and other interested parties
Assist with ESG integration; extracting data from Invesco’s proprietary ESG risk tool (ESGintel); providing proprietary research and analytical information to assess material risks identified on new and existing issuers in a timely fashion
Support Product Directors and Fund Managers in preparation for client meetings and presentations
What you can bring:
Proven expertise with financial modelling and investment analysis
Experience with Excel and data manipulation tools
Experience with python and large data sets
Practical understanding of investments and risk management
Experience with HOLT, Quest and/or EVA Dimensions
Experience in emerging markets
A bachelor's degree is required / CFA would be advantageous
Intellectual curiosity and desire to continuously learn
Values and exhibits humility and honesty
Able and comfortable to work flexibly and independently
Able to demonstrate high standards of numeracy and literacy with an excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships and professional connections
