As a Paraplanner at Nutmeg, you will support our Financial Planners in delivering high-quality, restricted financial advice to our clients. You’ll be responsible for research, analysis, and the preparation of suitability reports, ensuring all recommendations are compliant and aligned with Nutmeg’s investment philosophy and JP Morgan’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
Client Case Preparation:
- Gather and analyse client data from Nutmeg’s digital platform and other sources.
- Conduct product and fund research within Nutmeg’s restricted proposition.
- Prepare cash flow models and financial forecasts using Nutmeg’s proprietary and industry-standard software.
Report Writing:
- Draft clear, accurate, and compliant suitability reports tailored to Nutmeg’s client base.
- Ensure all documentation meets FCA, Nutmeg, and JP Morgan standards.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to Financial Planners, including updates on regulatory changes, product developments, and digital tools.
- Assist in the development and refinement of digital advice processes and templates.
Compliance & Administration:
- Maintain accurate client files and records in accordance with FCA, Nutmeg, and JP Morgan compliance requirements.
- Liaise with internal teams, providers, and third parties to obtain necessary information and quotations.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with Financial Planners, client services, and technology teams to ensure a seamless digital client experience.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Previous experience as a Paraplanner or in a financial planning support role
- Strong understanding of UK financial services, investment products, and FCA regulations.
- Experience with digital advice platforms and financial planning software (e.g., Voyant, Truth, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or working towards)
