Material Handler AM/PM 12 hour shifts

Pre Requisites:

 

  • Read, write and speak English
  • Past experience / proven ability
  • Be capable of using basic mathematics.
  • Be trained in and understand safety and efficiently perform the operations in this job description.
  • Perform those duties that it may; from time to time, be necessary to change or add to the Job.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Abide by all plant rules and safety regulations in the performance of the duties specified here in.

Specific Duties: (Included but not limited to)

 

  • Delivery of Materials
  • Insure the timely delivery of packaging and raw materials to maintain continuous

    •       operation of equipment.

  • Materials to be staged in the designated area around the appropriate machine in

    •       an orderly fashion.

  • Load cartons and bags to insure supply of finished goods cartons.
  • Preparation of any special materials that may require manual mixing.

    •  

  • Packaging of Finished Goods
  • Packaging of finished product and building palletized loads to customer

    •       specifications.

  • Monitoring and operation of automated packaging equipment to insure proper

    •       performance.

  • Applying appropriate labels of packaging slips for product identification.
  • Removal of finished goods pallets to warehouse staging area.

    •  

  • Handling of Operation Scrap
  • Labeling and removal process generated scrap to appropriate area.
  • Grinding of plastic components for the purpose of materials reuse.

    •  

  • Shop floor Management Participation
  • Participate in daily team meeting.
  • Contribute / implement ideas to improve operations performances.

    •  

  • Other Duties as Assigned
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks.
