We're looking for a dedicated Event Coordinator to contribute to the success and lasting impact of the Salt Lake City Temple Celebration. In this role, you'll assist in the behind-the-scenes details that make the celebration truly inspiring, uplifting, and memorable. You will work on a team where you will strive to ensure that every guest feels welcomed. Your work will help create a sacred and celebratory atmosphere for people around the world. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something deeply meaningful, where your organizational skills and desire for creating memories will result in an impact never to be forgotten. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for the celebration 
  • Manage event timelines, schedules, and setup/teardown plans 
  • Communicate with vendors, volunteers, and church leaders 
  • Support guest services, accessibility, and hospitality efforts 
  • Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to align messaging and materials 
  • Ensure all events reflect the spirit and purpose of the temple celebration 
  • Assist with post-event evaluations and reporting 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in related field, including 6 years of project management/event management or Master's degree and 6 years of experience
  • Experience in event planning, hospitality, or volunteer coordination 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing needs 
  • A warm, welcoming demeanor and a heart for service
