The Pharmacy Courier reports to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor/Operations Manager for the assigned area. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, pharmacy couriers are responsible for a variety of duties to assist in the distribution and delivery of medications and the maintenance of medication inventory.
Shift:
Full Time (40 hours)
Day Shift, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Weekend work required
Education:
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Work Experience:
Minimum of one month experience working in a hospital pharmacy is desired.
Licensure/Certification:
Successful completion of the Hazardous Drug Handling Competency
Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read and understand patient, medication and pharmacy labels.
Requires interpersonal skills to interact with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to obtain, verify and exchange information.
Salary Range: Minimum 17.28/hour - Maximum 20.06/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
