POSITION SUMMARY 

Keelson Management’s Director, Procurement will report directly to the CEO and manage end-to-end sourcing operation for Keelson and all supported terminals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage the procurement team. 
  • Provide effective leadership to maximize      the efficiency of the procurement team by encouraging a supportive and      collaborative work environment
  • Development and implementation of      standardized procurement policies and procedures.
  • Work Collaboratively will all supported      affiliates while enforcing all policies and procedures
  • Accountable for understanding and      completing Procurement projects.
  • Accountable for achieving cost      efficiencies that are identifiable and trackable.
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing      strategies and category management
  • Review purchasing activities, key performance      indicators and processes to ensure alignment to goals
  • Manage the company’s supply portfolio      with transparency of spending
  • Benchmark, capture, and update best      practices and institute and oversee continuous improvement activities to      satisfy requirements and external stakeholder expectations
  • Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee      agreement on terms and processes
  • Track and report key functional metrics      to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Discover and partner with trustworthy      vendors and suppliers
  • Analyze and calculate costs of      procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
  • Perform risk management for supply      contracts and agreements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Goal Oriented leader a must.
  • Proven work experience as a Sourcing      Manager or Procurement Manager
  • The person must be able to interact effectively      with people at all organizational levels, influence various aspects of the      business, and contribute to capability development of others in the      organization.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor      management and relevant software
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain      networking relationships
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Understanding of market dynamics and      sound business judgment
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal,      and strong documentation skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time      effectively in a fast paced environment.


Requirements

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· 7 to 10 years in a Sr Procurement Role with supervisory experience required

· Industry experience preferred.

· Significant experience in the negotiations of large cross-regional contracts and agreements
