- Technical Vision & Strategy: Define and champion the overall technical vision and strategy for the product area ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends, particularly within the open-standards ecosystem.
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap that aligns with market opportunities, customer needs (defense and commercial), and company objectives.
- Engineering Leadership: Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to all engineering disciplines (hardware, software, systems, test, etc.), fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Architectural Oversight: Oversee the architectural design and technical integrity of all products, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and adherence to open standards.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities and product developments comply with relevant defense industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through deployment and sustainment.
- Innovation & R&D: Drive research and development initiatives, exploring emerging technologies and methodologies to maintain our competitive edge and introduce disruptive capabilities.
- Technical Review & Oversight: Conduct rigorous technical reviews, provide expert guidance on complex engineering challenges, and make critical technical decisions.
