SUMMARY
The Mobile Crisis Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations, clinical supervision, and coordination of the Mobile Crisis Team within Crawford County. This role ensures timely, professional, and effective crisis intervention services are delivered to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. The Supervisor provides leadership and support to crisis staff, ensures compliance with regulatory and MMC standards, and fosters collaboration with local community partners, law enforcement, and medical providers.
JOB DUTIES
Team Supervision:
Directly supervise mobile crisis clinicians and support staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and clinical oversight.
Provide regular clinical supervision to staff in accordance with MMC policies and licensure requirements.
Ensure appropriate staffing coverage 24/7 and coordinate on-call schedules.
Program Management:
Monitor service delivery to ensure timely, client-centered, trauma-informed crisis responses.
Ensure staff adherence to protocols related to risk assessment, safety planning, de-escalation, and referrals.
Maintain compliance with state and county regulations, including documentation standards and reporting requirements.
Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of crisis program policies and procedures.
Community Engagement:
Serve as a liaison between the mobile crisis program and community stakeholders, including law enforcement, legal system, hospitals, schools, and other human service agencies.
Attend community meetings and represent the mobile crisis program in regional behavioral health planning efforts.
Quality Improvement:
Monitor data and trends in crisis response, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Lead or participate in critical incident reviews and root cause analyses.
Crisis Response:
Provide direct crisis intervention services as needed
Able to provide coverage for Meadville Medical Center Crisis Intervention Services, including backup during high-volume or complex cases.
Respond promptly to individuals in crisis via phone, in-person at their location, or at walk-in office at Meadville Medical Center.
Conduct risk assessments including suicide and violence risk.
De-escalate volatile or high-stress situations using trauma-informed and client-centered approaches.
Develop safety plans and offer coping strategies for individuals in distress.
Make referrals to mental health, medical, legal, or housing services as needed.
Collaborate with police, emergency services, shelters, hospitals, and community agencies.
Document all interventions, assessments, and referrals within the time frame of the call and accurate manner.
Communicate assessment findings to the psychiatrist on call.
Provides hand off of care to the Emergency Room staff, IPMH unit staff or next care provider
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
Maintain call data by entering required information into the data base at the end of each shift.
Maintain and update community resource list.
Complete mandated trainings.
Provide all required documentation for personnel file.
Complete an End of Shift Report to be emailed to all MMC Crisis staff.

This factor is required when doing near point work at varying distances from the eye. Color Vision: Frequently - Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Travel: Frequently, to various residences and business within Crawford County.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, required. Master’s degree preferred.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, or emergency services, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
Strong understanding of behavioral health crisis services, de-escalation techniques, and risk assessments.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficient in electronic health records and crisis documentation.
Familiarity with Crawford County’s mental health and community resources.
Ability to travel within the community as well as outside to attend meetings as deemed appropriate. Must have a current valid PA driver's license. Must be able to drive a car and drive long distances if required to attend meetings.
Must be able to use the following management accountabilities/competencies: conflict resolution, staff counseling, problem solving, disciplinary process, policy and procedure implementation, teamwork, support of management peers, cost containment skills. Must have a command of the English language and proper use of spelling and grammar to assist with creating technical documents and policies according to existing regulations.
Must be able to make group and individual presentations and perform counseling with patients as needed.
BLS required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Responds to the need for assessment of persons in crisis within Crawford County. Includes public and private settings, often at private residences or shelters.
A large part of work time is standing, sitting, walking or traveling to destinations. Normal office conditions plus patient care environment can be experienced.
Work hours are flexible based upon need and may exceed 40 hours per week.
May be exposed to potential hazards such as chemical wastes, body wastes, fluids and other possible infectious materials.
Subject to unpredictable actions of persons in crisis.
May involve exposure to high-stress situations and emotional trauma.
Support is available through the management team, Employee Assistance Program and/orDeeter Critical Incident Stress Management team and debriefing processes
