The Village Animal Clinic located outside of Albany is actively looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technicain. Our LVTs work closely with our 6 veterinarians, assisting with their appointments, surgeries, and record-keeping. We were voted “#1 Veterinary practice” in the Times Union’s “Best of” for six years. Our AAHA–certified practice includes equipment such as direct digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, computer-integrated Abaxis laboratory equipment including digital AI cytology, dentalaire dental equipment, therapeutic laser, digital endoscopy, and complete digital medical records. We have an on-site grooming area and serve as a host to two rotating specialists in radiology and surgery, which our LVT’s have the opportunity to assist. LVT responsibilities also include:

• scheduling and maintaining their own technician appointments

• collecting and preparing laboratory samples

• perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs

• Surgical inducing, monitoring, and recovering surgical patients

• prepping and assisting with surgical procedures

• processing, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical equipment

• updating and maintaining computerized records

• dispensing and administering medications and vaccines

• educating pet owners on health care for their pets both in-person and on the phone

• handling and treating exotic patients

Shifts: The flexibility of 4-day work week

• 10 hour shift

• 8 hour shift

Salary: $25-$30
