The JCPS Department of Diversity, Equity and Poverty is currently seeking currently employed JCPS Full-time teachers to serve as teacher and instructional assistant during the Fall Lit and Afterschool Program at Chancey Elementary.  This program will be twice a week on Mondays and Wednesday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm on November 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th and December 1st and 3rd.

Teachers will:

• Assist in facilitating activities with students and community mentors.
• Mentor and develop relationships with students facing barriers to education.
• Receive support and recognition from school and district administrators.
• Receive resources and instructional materials needed to utilize during the program.
• Participate in a two hour training in-person or virtually
• Have fun with students who may otherwise not have the opportunity to experience this type of programming!

Location: Chancey Elementary
Compensation: Hourly Dates: Mondays and Wednesday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm on November 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th and December 1st and 3rd.
Times: 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Individuals selected must work the entire program

Needed Staff: 1 CERTIFIED TEACHER

Candidates for these positions will be reviewed as soon as possible to meet the critical needs for the program. Job Offers will be made to individuals who best meet programmatic needs. To ensure consistency for our students and to have a strong instructional leader in place the candidates for this position will be reviewed prior to the deadline date.
