MANTECH is seeking a Linux System Administrator to join our team in Southlands, Colorado. This position supports the ELINT Modernization effort and is part of a collaborative team delivering systems engineering, software development, testing, and configuration management services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systemsManage IT infrastructure and ensure system availability and performancePerform day-to-day system monitoring, operations, and problem resolutionDiagnose and resolve issues at Tier 1 and Tier 2 support levelsConfigure and manage UNIX/Linux operating systems and install/load OS softwareOptimize system operations and perform resource utilization and capacity analysisPerform system backups, disaster recovery, and service restoration proceduresUpdate and migrate servers to newer software versionsCreate and maintain system documentation, user manuals, schedules, and update logsImplement OS enhancements to improve system reliability and performanceMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of related experience; an additional 5 years of related experience might be substituted for a degreeSecurity+ certification is requiredExperience with troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise IT systemsExperience managing and optimizing UNIX/Linux environments (installation, patching, performance tuning)Experience with performing system configuration and daily operations Preferred Qualifications:Experience with some or all of the following technologies and environments:Operating Systems: CentOS, AIX, Solaris, RHELTools & Platforms: NiFi, Docker, Putty, VMWare, OpenStack, CiscoOrchestration & Development: Kubernetes, Tibco, ClearCase, Git, RatchetAgile development methodologiesAtlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence)Working within integrated software development environments Security Clearance RequirementsCurrent TS/SCI with Polygraph Physical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the timeFrequently operates computers and standard office productivity toolsMust be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and leadership—may include delivering presentationsOccasional travel may be required for hardware upgrades and updates
