Job Summary

Supervise, guide and direct work teams to ensure execution of defined Inventory Management Key Performance Indicators.

Job Description

**This role is a predominantly work-from-home position. However, candidate must reside within a reasonable distance from our Northbrook, IL office or Mundelein, IL office**

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks of team members meet defined standards for performance

  • Recommend and communicate to management potential inventory and backorder problems.

  • Manage planning parameters associated with supply and demand to ensure inventory plans are executed within the KPI parameters

  • Monitor the procurement of the distributed buying team- approximately 700 vendors and $900M in inventory

  • Coordinate with internal partners (Customer Service, Transportation, and Branch Operations) to ensure goals are met and customers are satisfied.

  • Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communications, training and development opportunities and performance management processes. Build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.

  • Ensures all customers, both internal and external needs are met- be the point of escalation when team members need assistance in difficult scenarios

  • Perform various procurement duties requiring a complete understanding of the supply chain including placing purchase orders, transferring stock, and backorder analysis to resolve and/or prevent backorders

Minimum Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Relevant Work Experience

  • 3 years or more of experience in Supply Chain.

  • Experience applying knowledge of MRP, buying, demand planning and forecasting.

Additional

  • Ability to assess and initiate actions independently, demonstrated ability to take charge of a situation, team or project.

  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision and determining when escalation is issues is necessary.

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability in an environment of rapid change and with many variables.

  • Experience analyzing data and or processes to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and identify solutions.

  • Experience presenting to and communicating to various audiences.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong visual presentation skills as related to reports, scorecards, dashboards and presentations.

  • A Self- starter, accountable, proactively engaged.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant Work Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience leading or supervising a group of employees.

Certification / Licensure

  • APICS or equivalent supply chain management certification

Additional

  • SAP/APO experience

  • Advanced skills in Excel

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$85,280.00 - $123,760.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
