Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated RTSO Systems Support Specialist to join our team in support of critical Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Navy missions. This role will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and operational readiness of RTSO (Real-Time System Operation) systems on-board US Navy ships, primarily located in the PAC Fleet (Japan, Hawaii, San Diego, and Everett, WA).  This role involves full system lifecycle support, including installation and configuration to operational verification, and end-user training. 

  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting System Operation Verification Testing (SOVTs) with IT and CT personnel on ships to ensure system functionality.
  • Upgrading and deploying the newest version of RTSO software onto designated servers and workstations (i.e., CANES).
  • Providing comprehensive training to Ship Force personnel on the RTSO software and its practical use cases, including hands-on sessions.
  • Testing RTSO system functionality, including data collection, event management, and reporting.
  • Troubleshooting all issues arising during installation, testing, or production use, and documenting resolutions.
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including:
    • Administrative Guide for system management and maintenance.
    • Troubleshooting Guide and Knowledge Base documenting common issues across various ship platforms.
  • Performing SOVTs on multiple ships located in PAC Fleet (Japan, San Diego, and Everett, WA).

 

Requirements

The successful candidate must possess:

  • Proven experience with system installation, configuration, and training.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Experience creating and managing certificates via Certificate Authority (CA).
  • Familiarity with SQL.
  • Ability to go on-board ships and work in classified spaces, with knowledge of associated security protocols ("DOs and DON'Ts").
  • Familiarity with SIPR and SWAN tokens.
  • Ability to be based in Yokosuka, Japan with occasional travel required to Sasebo, Japan, Hawaii or Everett, WA.
  • Active Secret Clearance or above
  • US Citizenship
  • Valid and Current Passport

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to produce high-quality, comprehensive training manuals and reports.
  • Strong foundation in cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Security+ certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a DoD/Navy environment, especially with shipboard systems, is highly desirable.
