General Summary:

Are you passionate about using creativity and communication to make a real impact in your community? As a Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator for Oakland County Transit, you’ll play a key role in connecting residents, employers, and local partners with vital transit programs that keep our communities moving. You’ll lead outreach efforts, manage digital content, and collaborate with County departments, external partners, and regional transit providers to promote awareness and engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine storytelling, marketing strategy, and public service to strengthen the Oakland County Transit brand and expand access to reliable, inclusive transportation.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement marketing strategies, campaigns, and materials that promote Oakland County Transit services and initiatives.
• Create and manage digital content across social media, web, and email platforms to engage the public and strengthen brand awareness.
• Collaborate with County departments and regional transit providers to coordinate communications and public outreach.
• Track analytics, evaluate campaign performance, and recommend improvements to increase community engagement and program visibility.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Journalism or related field.
2. Have at least two (2) years of professional full-time work experience in communications, market research, digital marketing or a closely related area.
