Description
The Health Services company is seeking a Medical Reports Expeditor (MRE) for their Veterans Services team. As an MRE, you will be responsible for reviewing the electronic case management system to identify reports and diagnostic results requiring follow-ups. Also, you will communicate with medical offices and diagnostic facilities to verify attendance and obtain reports, following escalation workflow when appropriate, and upload diagnostic results received to the case management system in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review the electronic case management system to identify outstanding reports and diagnostic results requiring follow-up
- Communicate with medical offices and diagnostic facilities to verify attendance and obtain reports in a timely manner, following escalation workflow when appropriate
- Upload diagnostic results received to the case management system
- Appropriately process Date of First Draft (DFD) signed reports in the case management system
- Prioritize all requests from the client to expedite delivery of a case
- Other projects and duties as assigned
- High School diploma, or equivalent (GED)
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a medical office and/or administrative position
- Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Adaptable with the ability to follow a standardized workflow
- Ability to work on routine/repetitive tasks in a timely manner
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and perform with a high sense of urgency and follow through
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills to both internal and external customers
- Proficient in relevant computer applications (i.e. MS Office, Faxcom, Adobe) with an ability to learn new software quickly
- Experience in medical billing and coding with a focus on CPT coding
- Ability to work in faced paced environment
- Training: Onsite at our San Antonio, TX office located at 4400 N.W. Loop 410, Ste. 500 San Antonio, TX 78229,
- Shift: Monday – Friday between 7:00 am and 5:30 PM
- Post-Training Shift:
- Monday – Friday from 8:30 am–5:30 pm (1 hour lunch break)
- Monday – Friday from 9:00 am–5:30 pm (30-minute lunch break)
- Probationary Period: Employment as a Medical Reports Expeditor I will include successful completion of a 90-day probationary period during which you will be given objectives to achieve. This timeframe lets you assess your readiness for the position as well as allows Leidos QTC Health Services to determine your ability to successfully perform the job. You will be provided objectives, documentation, training and performance feedback during the 90-day probationary period as part of your assimilation to the role. After successfully completing the 90-day probationary period, you will be considered a permanent employee
