We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Accounting Lead to join our team working for a dynamic company in a fast-paced environment. This position will ensure compliance with accounting standards, supervise a team, and take a hands-on approach to our accounting operations. In addition to the day-to-day accounting responsibilities, this position will also work closely with management in a variety of ways to support segments and business units. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Lead, supervise, and oversee an accounting team
• Perform monthly accounting and close procedures along with the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries
• Prepare account reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurately stated
• Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes to consistently improve accuracy and efficiency of processing transactions while improving internal controls
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Provide support and inputs for quarterly and annual SEC filings
• Develop, analyze, and present reports to management
• Manage projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or MBA highly preferred
• 4-6 years of experience with evidence of assuming roles of greater complexity, responsibility and accountability
• Manufacturing / heavy industry experience preferred
• Experience with acquisitions and divestitures a plus
• Comprehensive experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Demonstrated understanding of internal accounting controls
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proactive attitude with team oriented, collaborative working style
• Advanced Excel ability required
• SAP and Hyperion experience preferred
• Excellent organizational and project management skills

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $91,200-$119,700 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
