Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) working in an LPN-designated role is responsible for providing compassionate, high-quality patient care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
This position functions within an ambulatory office setting, supporting patient assessment, treatment, education, and care coordination to ensure an exceptional experience for every patient.

Education
Certificate in Practical Nursing required
Licenses and Certifications
Current Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (or RN license working within LPN scope)
Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
Experience and Skills
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Physical Requirements
Intermittent hand manipulation
Intermittent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
Role-Specific Responsibilities
Demonstrates leadership and sound clinical judgment to assess and address patient care needs.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, care teams, and external partners using empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
Assists with onboarding, training, and ongoing support of nursing staff within the department.
Provides patient education and care navigation, ensuring understanding of treatment plans and available resources.
Accurately documents patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) in compliance with clinical policies and scope of practice.
Processes medication renewals and refill requests following established protocols.
Rooms patients, obtains and records accurate clinical information, and prepares for provider evaluation.
Monitors and manages medication and supply inventory, ensuring compliance with expiration and storage guidelines.
