Position Overview:

The key responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician Lead are to perform daily equipment and building maintenance to ensure proper functioning and operation while adhering to company standards, processes and systems. Correct all mechanical and electrical problems, perform Preventative Maintenance, as well as implementing upgrades and improvements for all company equipment and fixtures. Assist mechanics on your shift in ensuring all work is performed safely, effectively, and in a timely fashion. The right candidate should have good knowledge of plumbing, welding, fabrication, power transmission, industrial electronics, hydraulics/pneumatic and interpretation of blueprints and Schematic.  Also required to adhere to the highest level of commitment & requirement for compliance to Safe Quality Food (SQF). All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for all calls from production operation.  
• Ensure production equipment is in good working order and operating condition, supporting production and quality efforts.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment.
• Completing assigned project work orders in a timely manner and responding to maintenance calls.
• Ordering and maintaining parts inventory on assigned equipment.
• Maintaining clean work environment in maintenance work areas.
• Contributing to continuous improvement projects and efforts.
• Adheres to and participates in all safety projects.
• General maintenance in a production/manufacturing environment.  
• Maintain communication with appropriate operators, supervisors and management.
• Responsible for performing other tasks as instructed by Supervisor or Manager.

Job Qualifications

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 5-7 years or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Minimum 5 years experiences of maintenance, repair, and preventive measures is preferred.
• Able to use Multimeter for electrical troubleshooting, understand motor controls, programming of VFD/Drive and understand basic PLC Logic Controls.
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior Food experience desired.

• Bi-lingual English-Spanish helpful.
