What is the role?

Level1 is our brand new 12,000 sq ft multi entertainment arena built within Southampton FC’s home ground, St Marys Stadium. As one of the South Coast’s largest competitive social gaming zones, we are creating a vibrant space that fans, visitors, and the local community can enjoy all year round – not just on matchday.

We have an energetic, fast paced and customer focussed team who are helping us create an unmatched experience for guests. We now have the exciting opportunity to bring in a Duty Manager to support the team and oversee daily operations.

What will you be doing?

You will oversee the daily operations, ensuring everything always runs like clockwork and handling customer and employee issues, including complaints and emergencies, confidently and efficiently. 

Performing opening and closing operational checks, you will escalate any issues that arise immediately and ensure full compliance to health and safety procedures and company policies.  

You will manage staff shift schedules and breaks, always ensuring full staff coverage as well as monitoring staff while they are on shift, delegating tasks and maintaining productivity within the team. You will motivate, lead and reward the team to keep high standards of service and train new members of staff

You are passionate about providing a good service with a strong understanding of how to lead and motivate a team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role and leading a team in a fast paced environment
  • Passionate about success and business improvement.
  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Highly skilled in customer service principles and conflict resolution.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • First aid qualification
  • Experience running a multi activity site
