SUMMARY

The Slot Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Slot gaming devices on an assigned shift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Evaluate machines which fail to hold approved percentages or to there expectations.
2. Perform major/minor, scheduled/non-scheduled repairs on Slot machines.
3. Check all gaming related equipment for evidence of cheating and mechanical malfunctions.
4. Complete accurate records, listing repairs of department equipment in accordance with Department Policies and Procedures.
5. Communicate duties with other Slot Technicians from shift to shift.
6. Monitor, and repair the slot tracking system as needed.
7. Perform needed repairs, and modifications on gaming devices on the casino floor.
8. Move and install gaming devices as needed.
9. Able to maintain regular and predictable attendance as scheduled.
10. Be able to respond to machine malfunctions in a timely manner.
11. Must attend and be certified in all applicable trainings required.
12. All other departmental duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum age requirement is 21.
2. High School diploma or equivalent.
3. Minimum of one-year experience in electronics repair or in the gaming industry.
4. Strong Mathematical skills.
5. Good interpersonal skills.
6. Must have good customer service skills.
7. Ability to follow instructions.
8. Must have a basic knowledge of computers and use of e-mail.
9. Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

1. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
2. Regularly required to stand, sit, and use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
3. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
4. Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
5. Must be able to work in a noisy and smoke filled environment.
6. Noise level is moderate to high on the casino floor.
7. Exposed daily to flashing lights and ringing bells.
8. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs.
9. Must be able to work in a noisy and smoke filled environment.
10. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
