Job Title: Plasma Helper
Job Grade:
Reports To: Operations Manager
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Plasma Helper receives instructions from the Production Manager and Plasma Operator about the assignments and expectations for the day. The helper will have been trained on the Plasma Table and will be required to follow processes and procedures, either posted or directed by management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helps get the table ready for production.
- Helps monitor the machine during use to address any problems and adjusts as needed.
- Helps to inspect the finished product to ensure specifications have been met. This includes grade, thickness, and size, as well as other key measurements.
- Performs daily inspections as instructed by the Plasma Operator using quality checkpoints before and after use, along with weekly and monthly preventative maintenance.
- Measures and keeps usable drop material and records thickness, grade, and dimensions. to help keep track of inventory.
- Alerts the Operator of any concerns or problems with the machine.
- Assures their assignments are completed on time.
- Responsible for the safety and housekeeping of their area.
- Uses forklifts to load and carry material.
Requirements
Education and Experience Required:
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Experience operating a Plasma Table
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledgeable in TFI/OSHA Safety Requirements

- Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, express, and exchange written or spoken words, and distinguish objects and equipment visually
