Job Summary
Assists First Class Operator with tower drops. Assists with maintenance when needed. Supports and assists warehouse and laborers and provides backup to the First Class Operator.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Operates forklifts to move material to the warehouse to the staging area.
- Move material using “drum dolly” weighing 300lbs, from staging area to the tower.
- Performs housekeeping of their work area.
- Performs ground maintenance, including operating of lawn mowers.
- Moves, stacks, and stores materials in the Warehouse and Plant areas using pallet jacks, and hand trucks, and powered lift trucks.
- Performs inspections of safety equipment and makes corrections or tags out equipment as the situation indicates.
- Assists with unscheduled and scheduled maintenance, using tools and equipment to support installation operations of equipment.
- Performs operations to recover iron carbonyl product from Sludge.
- Removes iron waste from pit using shovels.
- Cleans exterior of tanks, buildings, and equipment with a high-pressure washer.
- Performs duties of a First Class Operator for vacation relief and assists laborers as directed.

- Be able to climb scaffolds, ladders, and stairs, at varied excessive heights (50 FEET).
- Capable of lifting and walking with weights approaching 50lbs.
- Be able to perform very strenuous jobs while wearing breathing air masks, proper PPE, and other safety-related materials.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Pushes/pulls material weighing up to 400lbs with “drum dolly’ and power containers weighing up to 2,400lbs.
- Required to walk and stand continuously in the units while performing assigned duties.
- Turns, stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches, pulls, handles, lifts, and carries containers with materials and products.
- Must have the physical ability to maneuver full cylinders.
- Must be calm and stable under emergency situations.
- Must be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision.
- Talking, hearing, color vision, depth perception, and good peripheral vision are required to properly operate a forklift, perform testing, and communicate results.
- Requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, and mandatory hearing protection
