Summary
The Retail Cashier position is responsible for accurately processing guest transactions, and providing superior customer service at all retail outlets.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide Guests with a Fun, Friendly, and Helpful experience.
- Greets Guests including answering phones and directing guest inquiries to appropriate party.
- Provide guests with retail options.
- Informs Guests about services available and assesses guest needs.
- Accurately process guest transactions through the Agilisys PMS retail system.
- Keep an accurate bank and maintain proper records of transactions throughout daily shift.
- Keep work stations and inventory stocked and organized.
- Update product lists and price items accordingly
- Track, receive & examine products being purchased for damages and quantity accuracy.
- Assists in the maintenance of store front and retail displays, including folding & steaming clothes
- Help stock shelves and display areas daily and inform Management of re-order needs.
- Completes, processes, and maintains applicable paperwork and records.
- Assist in inventory counts or place signage for store promotions
- Must maintain knowledge of inventory to the extent that cashier can make suggestions to guests about jewelry, clothing, or other items.
- Maintain knowledge of Casino and department promotions, programs, and services.
- Provide scheduled coverage at the retail shops.
- Must be able to work posted scheduled shifts. (Scheduling is based on the needs of the Resort).
- Follow standard department and Casino policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all department outlets according to Soboba Casino Resort standards and Indian Gaming Health regulations.
- Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
Education / Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age, or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- A minimum of 1 year of retail service experience, preferred
- POS knowledge, preferred.
- 6-12 months of cash handling experience, required.
- Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States.
Certificates, licenses and registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
- Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) Certification.
