About the Department
We are hiring for the role of Lab Specialist - Pretreatment in the Utilities Department.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and enforce all aspects of Pretreatment Program.
- Conduct inspections to maintain compliance efforts.
- Investigate and identify industrial wastewater dischargers which may require a pretreatment permit.
- Issue, enforce, and manage pretreatment permits & notices of violation.
- Develop and implement new program procedures as needed.
- Collect, test, and analyze daily samples of discharge at all phases of treatment according to IDEM & EPA.
- Maintain an organized, clean laboratory, including monitoring/maintaining inventory.
