We are looking for a customer-focused intern to contribute to our Voice of Customer (VoC) initiatives. In this role, you will help design persona-based customer journeys that strengthen our listening capabilities and elevate the overall customer experience. You will analyze customer feedback, behavioral data, and VoC survey results to generate insights that inform product and service improvements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze feedback from surveys, NPS, and other Voice of Customer (VoC) channels to identify customer segments and experience gaps.

  • Apply statistical and gap analysis to validate segment differences and define clear persona boundaries.

  • Translate VoC insights into customer motivations, needs, and journey pain points.

  • Develop personas that capture demographics, goals, challenges, preferences, and journey patterns.

  • Create visual persona templates and documentation to bring customer journeys to life.

  • Present persona and journey insights with strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align personas with business priorities and address identified gaps.

  • Deliver actionable recommendations on how teams can apply personas and journey insights to decision-making.

  • Document methodology and establish guidelines for ongoing VoC listening, journey mapping, and best practice frameworks

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Business, Marketing, Psychology, UX Research, Data Analytics, or a related field

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, gaps, and insights from complex customer data sets

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with data segmentation, gap analysis, and statistical techniques

  • Experience with data visualization tools and creating clear, compelling presentations that illustrate customer journeys and insights

  • Knowledge of customer research methodologies, persona development, and journey mapping principles

  • Familiarity with NPS programs, Voice of Customer (VoC) listening channels, and customer experience metrics

  • Ability to translate data and VoC findings into engaging stories that highlight customer motivations, pain points, and opportunities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multi-source data and synthesize feedback into actionable insights

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on long-term projects while managing multiple priorities

  • Genuine curiosity about customer behavior, journeys, and how insights can improve the customer experience

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$17.33 - $28.88
