A Multimedia Designer is an expert who creates interactive media including graphics, videos, podcasts and other digital content for existing and new technology and processes. They are responsible for creating multimedia video content that enable viewers to better comprehend and retain content, collaborating with partners to gain understanding of the target audience and the objective for the communication, leveraging full range of digital video and audio technologies meaningfully for each production and in a way that is fully accessible to all viewers, and executing end-to-end multimedia process including but not limited to planning, recording, editing, publishing and archiving and archive management.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Expert ability to storyboard and script writing for digestible content that makes complex topics easy to understand using a wide variety of source material
  • Proficient to expert ability to conceptualize, develop, and produce multimedia video and graphics
  • Proficient to expert ability to deliver information by effectively combining a wide variety formats including but not limited to vector and raster graphics, audio, video, animations and interactive elements
  • Proficient to expert project skills including but not limited to establishing reasonable timelines, managing to those timelines, reporting status and resolving/escalating issues
  • Proficient to expert ability to organize and store elements that make them easy to access and easy to update
  • Ability to quickly acquire proficiency in all process specific tools and remain current with iterative software and process updates and current with best practices in video and graphic multimedia fields 
  • Seeks opportunities to improve depth/breadth of knowledge and personal performance

Desired Skills and Knowledge        

  • Proficient to expert ability to use SnagIt, Camtasia Studio and Snapshots
  • Familiar with Photoshop or other image editing software.  Experience with resizing and placing image files such as JPEG, PNG. 
  • Actively seek out and experiment with new software features and visual storytelling tools to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the team
  • Knowledgeable in designing high-quality slide layouts and infographics that alighn with brand guidelines.
  • Proficient to expert ability to create storyboards and scripts for video creation and narration
  • Proficient in desktop publishing experience (fliers, invitations, etc.)

Enterprise position overview: This job is responsible for managing medium to large projects for an operations department or Line of Business. Key responsibilities include determining appropriate test methods, coordinating execution across stakeholders and test groups, managing project scope, planning, and organizing, directing the execution of test plans and scripts, and working closely with management on project impact and direction. Job expectations include acting as the first point of contact for end-to-end project status, project health, mitigation, and timely escalation to leadership and stakeholders.
