The Strategic Pipeline Alliance Project is at the exciting delivery stage, with additional projects lined up to undertake during AMP8. At SPA, we embrace innovation, digital technology, and collaboration with our partners, including Farrans, MMB, Costain and Jacobs. 

 

 

About the Role: 
Are you an engineering graduate ready to make a real-world impact? Join a growing team delivering an innovative and essential infrastructure project that will serve millions across East Anglia. 

 

You will be given support and guidance from experienced engineers and learn to be an expert in your discipline You will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with other disciplines to develop and detail appropriate solutions, adopting the principles of excellence in design adopted by the SPA Alliance engineering team. 

 

You will be offered opportunities to gain the experience in your chosen area such as site experience, geotechnical design, commercial exposure, and access to digital tools to improve the quality of engineering design. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Specific design of water infrastructure that achieves the goals of Anglian Water in terms of customer, environment and efficiency.  

  • Undertake desk studies, ground investigations, geotechnical designs and site supervision 

  • Ensure that the principles of design safety are incorporated in all designs 

  • Work with the relevant lead team members to ensure that all technical deliverables are properly checked and approved. 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to innovation initiatives. 

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S), ensuring consistent H&S standards are maintained.

  • A degree in a relevant engineering subject. 

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and delivery. 

  • A willingness to contribute to team leadership and coordination. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
