About the role
We're offering a unique opportunity to join our Deployment team in a pivotal role that bridges field and support office operations. As Operations Manager – Deployment, you'll lead initiatives that simplify and automate key processes, helping our Field Leaders manage store payroll more effectively and driving standards across Pharmacy Deployment, MyTime, and Central Administration.
Reporting to the Head of Deployment, you'll work collaboratively with teams across Deployment and Central Operations, and strategic stakeholders to deliver impactful change.
This is a field-base role which contains elements of nationwide travel.
Key responsibilities
Identify and implement opportunities to stop, simplify, or automate workload across Pharmacy Deployment, MyTime, Admin, and wider Central Operations.
Drive delivery of the 38 key actions from the Payroll Simplification programme, in partnership with the Project Manager (COO's Office) and Head of Finance – Retail.
Engage and influence Deployment and Core Operations teams to co-create sustainable solutions.
Ensure all proposals are commercially viable and aligned with strategic goals.
Lead by setting clear goals and fostering a culture of success and recognition.
What you'll need to have
Analytical Acumen: Can interpret complex datasets and identify actionable insights.
Business & Operational Understanding: Strong grasp of business goals, and aligns KPIs with strategic and operational priorities.
Reporting & Visualisation Expertise: Familiar with tools like Power BI and Excel to tailor reporting for diverse audiences.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Excellent collaborative team-player
Change Management & Continuous Improvement: Passion for driving a data-led culture and adapting KPIs to evolving business needs. Agile in thinking and execution.
It would be great if you also have
Previous leadership experience.
Experience working in Boots UK stores.
Understanding of retail and pharmacy operations.
