JOB POSITION
Associate (Finance)
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Post journal entries – Record all recurring and ad-hoc entries to reflect financial activity.
- Finalize trial balance – Ensure completeness and accuracy of all ledger postings.
- Perform account reconciliations – Reconcile key balance sheet and P&L accounts.
- Review and validate accruals – Confirm accuracy of expense and revenue accruals.
- Analyze variances – Investigate material fluctuations and document explanations.
- Prepare financial reports – Generate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Ensure GAAP compliance – Validate entries and disclosures against accounting standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams – Align with AP, AR, Treasury, and FP&A for inputs.
- Validate intercompany transactions – Confirm balances and resolve mismatches across entities.
- Follow internal control protocols – Use checklists and sign-offs to ensure audit readiness.
- Lock the accounting period – Close the books in ERP once validations are complete.
- Support management review – Share summaries, respond to queries, and provide insights.
- Maintain documentation – Archive reconciliations, reports, and supporting files.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects – Contribute to audits, system enhancements, and process improvements.
- Align with US EST time zone – Ensure availability during Onshore review hours (8 AM–5 PM EST).
QUALIFICATION
- B. Com/MBA in accounting, finance, or related field
- Qualified CMA/CA/CFA
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3-6 years of tax experience, focused on tax compliance and tax return preparation.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Chartered Accountant or Chartered Accountant eligible preferred
- Solid understanding of U.S. sales and use tax preferred but not required.
- Experience with insurance is a plus but not required .
