JOB POSITION

Associate (Finance)

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Post journal entries – Record all recurring and ad-hoc entries to reflect financial activity.
• Finalize trial balance – Ensure completeness and accuracy of all ledger postings.
• Perform account reconciliations – Reconcile key balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Review and validate accruals – Confirm accuracy of expense and revenue accruals.
• Analyze variances – Investigate material fluctuations and document explanations.
• Prepare financial reports – Generate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance – Validate entries and disclosures against accounting standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams – Align with AP, AR, Treasury, and FP&A for inputs.
• Validate intercompany transactions – Confirm balances and resolve mismatches across entities.
• Follow internal control protocols – Use checklists and sign-offs to ensure audit readiness.
• Lock the accounting period – Close the books in ERP once validations are complete.
• Support management review – Share summaries, respond to queries, and provide insights.
• Maintain documentation – Archive reconciliations, reports, and supporting files.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects – Contribute to audits, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Align with US EST time zone – Ensure availability during Onshore review hours (8 AM–5 PM EST).

QUALIFICATION

• B. Com/MBA in accounting, finance, or related field
• Qualified CMA/CA/CFA

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3-6 years of tax experience, focused on tax compliance and tax return preparation.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Chartered Accountant or Chartered Accountant eligible preferred
• Solid understanding of U.S. sales and use tax preferred but not required.
• Experience with insurance is a plus but not required .
