Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of networking (e.g., core switches, access switches, firewalls) , Good knowledge of SDN (Software Defined Network in the video sector), Good knowledge of storage (e.g., NetApp)
Requirements
- Equivalent professional qualification with relevant work experience may also be considered
- Proven experience in designing and configuring network infrastructures
- Strong hands-on experience with server systems (Microsoft and Linux), Cisco switches, Cisco firewalls, and storage systems
- Excellent IT and broadcast technology acumen
- Knowledge of broadcast systems and a willingness to further develop in this area
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical skills, organizational ability, proactiveness, and a collaborative team mindset
Responsibilities
- Independently manage projects while ensuring adherence to technical standards
- Handle project preparation, execution, and follow-up activities autonomously
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of storage systems (e.g., NetApp)
- Possess solid expertise in network technologies, including core switches, access switches, and firewalls
- Have a good understanding of Software Defined Networking (SDN), particularly in video environments
- Perform operational, administrative, and planning tasks related to network infrastructure and server management
- Continuously optimize workflows and processes to improve efficiency
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues, coordinating with vendors when necessary
- Train and support employees on relevant technical topics
Core Responsibilities
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair all but the most complex issues. Performs maintenance activities with a minimum of supervision and guidance. Leads technical outage bridges and engages appropriate resources to drive issues to closure.
- Acts as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies and processes. Ensures projects and initiatives are adhering to Company standards.
- Tracks and reports operational workflows; maintains records of results and feedback. Analyzes data and metrics, identifies problem areas and provides actionable insight.
- Acts as a technical resource in projects and initiatives and ensures successful project implementation.
- Contributes to design considerations for new products or architectural changes to existing products.
- Analyses problems in design, configuration, data flow and data state within a highly complex multi-product provisioning system.
- Performs routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering and ensures all maintenance is properly validated to minimize impact.
- Provides training and guidance to less experienced team members.
- Attains industry standard certifications and education.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
