We are looking to expand our well-established team with an Engineer who is motivated to significantly contribute to our relentless pursuit of excellence. We are looking for a Tyre Performance Engineer to join us at Enstone. This position will play a crucial role in helping us push for podiums and race wins.
Your challenge:
As our Simulator Development Engineer, you will contribute to the team’s objective of best-in-class Driver-in-the-loop Simulator capabilities through development of hardware-in-the-loop models, systems and infrastructure, as well as striving for continuous improvement of Simulator capabilities, features, correlation, robustness and operational efficiency through intelligent and innovative software development.
Key accountabilities are:
- Responsibility for developing and maintaining real-time models and systems specific to the Simulator, including:
- Real-time simulation infrastructure
- Simulator-specific component models
- Interface to power unit and other plant models
- Cueing
- User interface
- Proactive liaison with other departments including controls and power unit supplier.
- Plan development activities around the Simulator test schedule.
- Opportunities to contribute to the development of vehicle performance analysis and tools.
Who we want:
We are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who brings prior experience—ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport environment. You will have an active and curious mindset, always striving to develop your own capabilities and contribute to the growth of the wider team.
You should hold a degree (or equivalent) in Engineering and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality work in fast-paced, pressurised, and time-sensitive situations.
Experience with MATLAB and Simulink modelling is essential, along with professional engineering experience in developing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations.
