The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for psychiatric assessment and treatment of individuals with a broad range of mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and addictions. The NP is to provide excellent, person centered care while collaborating well with team members including psychiatrist, primary care providers, therapists, inpatient teams and clinic staff to assist with ongoing management of the patient's behavioral health needs. This position requires excellent documentation and coding/billing ability and use of EPIC EMR.

 

Qualified candidates will have/be:

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current or eligibility for license to practice as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse in the State of WI
  • Formal education as a nurse practitioner in psychiatry
  • Demonstrated strong clinical abilities in general psychiatry, treatment of mood disorders, medication management skills, assessment and diagnosis.
  • Excellent clinical skills working in a rural outpatient psychiatric practice
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians and members of the community
  • Willing to collaborate with clinic providers, masters level therapists as well as Substance Abuse Counselors
  • Emotionally intelligent, resourceful and resilient

   
Work Schedule:    Mainly day time hours Monday – Friday
